GMAT score on B-school application resume?

by drnishi » Mon Sep 28, 2009 10:03 am
Quick question- if I have a high GMAT score should I put it on my B-school application resume? Have heard that students put it on their internships application resumes.

My logic- Yes, the school already has the data BUT your interviewer probably doesn't. He/she probably just sees your resumes (not your essays, recos or any other data).
And the resume they see is what you have submitted. Considering this, is it a good idea to have your GMAT score on it? Will it hurt?

Internship resumes are entirely different. The employer won't have your GMAT unless you tell him/her.

I wouldn't put it on your application resume because they will have it elsewhere. However, if you have a high GMAT, you could argue that you want to put it on the resume you take to your interview. Even there, realize that the purpose of the interview is not to wow with your GMAT, but to wow with your interpersonal skills and communications ability. I'm not sure the number will contribute to that goal.
