Dear vinamram,

I understand your concern on your GMAT score, but from what you posted, it appears that is the only potential weakness in your profile. You have interesting, unique work experience with a successful track record and strong academic performance at university. Since the low score is more on the verbal side, it is imperative you submit well-written essays and have a good interview.

Remember, what makes the difference for any applicant is how well you put your application together. It is imperative you present a strong rationale for why you want a MBA, how it fits into your overall career plan, and why the school you are applying to is a good match for you. Likewise, you must distinguish yourself from the competition and demonstrate successful leadership experiences.

If your GMAT score is within 20 points of the average for one of your schools, you might go ahead and apply to see what happens. If you are more than 20 points below the school's GMAT average, then you might consider retaking the GMAT and applying next year.
