Question on the profile eligibility to ISB

Hi,

I have 3 yrs of work experience in Engineering services company (Mechanical) and in that i have 1 yr of onsite experience. I am interested to pursue MBA and get back into the Engineering Services as capable manager who has both technical and management skills.

My GMAT score is 720 and above 80% all through academics.

My profile: 1. B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
2. contributions to the company: Developed design tools to solve and provide the mechanical engineering design calculations and suggest recommendations. This helped company and customer to save significant man hours on repeated jobs.
3. Onsite coordinator between off shore team and customer.
4. improved business opportunities by winning 3000 Hrs of work and off shored to India.

I am curious to know whether can i apply to ISB with this profile and get an admission.

Hey man,

There's one main thing you've left out of your post - what do you do outside of work? What were you involved in during your undergrad and what have you done since?

Also, professionally, have you been promoted? Had anything noteworthy happen during your career? In other words, anything that would make me look at your trajectory and go "wow, this is better than most!".

Hi Babu,

Your profile is certainly decent enough for ISB. 720 on GMAT is decent and international experience will help.

Look at connecting your past experience with your post MBA goals. That is super critical from ISB admissions perspective. Make sure that companies come to ISB campus to recruit for the profile your are mentioning. Or clearly articulate that you might go back to your previous company in case you plan to do that.
