You are correct in assuming that you need a higher GMAT score in order to be competitive for the schools you listed. If you can achieve a score closer to 700 then your experience will differentiate you from the typical Indian IT candidate. However, you need to be able to clearly articulate why you are switching to Finance and how you know this is the right choice for you.
