Interview location

by AbhishekGakhar » Thu Dec 25, 2008 11:34 pm
Hi Stacy/ Lisa,

I have a question regarding the preferred location for London Business School interview if and when I get a call. I live in Germany. I think US schools are a bit too far from here but UK is right here. If I choose London over a German city will it help show my interest in attending the school? Will the adcom consider me less motivated if I choose to take it in Germany?

Also, is an interview by an Alumni at a location outside the school easier/ more difficult than an interview at the school?

Thanks in advance!

Abhishek

Dear Abhishek,

How tough your interview is depends on the interviewer, regardless if it is a current student, admissions professional or an alumnus. If you have not been to visit LBS and can combine a campus visit with your interview, then that is what I would suggest. Going the extra step of traveling to campus for an interview and visit does demonstrate a high level of interest. However, the school will not hold it against you if you cannot make it to campus.

Good luck,
Lisa
