Hi!
Does anyone know about the essay questions for applying to NUS' MBA programme? I can't seem to find it on their website, do these questions change every year? I've done COmputer Engineering, and then at MBA from FMS, Delhi, currently working with TAS ( Tata Administrative Services). What would my chances be with NUS and INSEAD, Singapore? Thanks!

Regards,
Vansa

What is your GMAT score? Also, more information on your professional and personal background would help me give better guidance.

Hi Vansa,

NUS questions do change every year. In the past few years NUS has focussed more on current issues.

Hi,

My GMAT score is 720 (Verbal-42, Quant-47). I've done Computer Engineering, graduated in 2008, and then an MBA in Finance from FMS, Delhi. I work with Tata Administrative Services-it's the training programme for the leadership cadre of the Tata Group, and I'm in the Treasury of Tata Steel. My extra-curricular activities would include quizzing and volunteer work when I headed the Social Service wing during my undergraduate days. I was wondering about my chances with INSEAD Singapore and NUS!

Hi,

According to us you can target INSEAD but INSEAD gives a lot of importance to international experience. So, you will have to address that well in your application and essay.

You have good chances at NUS.

here are some questions that I came up with, off the top of my head:
1.With reference to any text(s) on the course discuss some of the ways in which modernism gets involved in politics.
2.Discuss the issue of either sexuality or sexual difference with reference to any text on the course.
3.What is the significance of space in the work of Walter Benjamin?
4.Discuss the way any writer on the course deals with the experience of memory, history and the present.
5.Give an account of the treatment of the relationship between the intellect and the senses in any modernist text(s).

I went through the NUS MBA website.
I found double degree programs offered by NUS in two different cities.

Can anyone help me with few queries:
1. How do we weigh such programs against full time MBAs?
2. I have a TOEFL score of 94. Do I need to reappear or it can be considered?
3. Where do I stand as candidate for NUS MBA courses?

My profile:
- Metallurgical Engineer, passed out from IIT Roorkee in 2009
- 3+ job ex in manufacturing/production and shop floor management at Steel Authority of India Ltd.
- GMAT : 700
