Hello Group! This is my first post to the group .

I am planning to give my second GMAT after a gap of 6 years ( Earlier score : 580 , Quant 50, verbal 17 ),

I am an engineering Graduate with more than 11 years of work experience in India's two Leading Automobile industries . I have already done two correspondence management programs from Symbiosis and Narsee Monjee respectively . I am lead auditor for TS16949, ISO14001 and certified silver assessor for TBEM. I was the President of my college cultural committee and coordinator for my batch alumni group..
I am a happily married person , has two kids and wife who is a French language trainer for corporate.

Please advice whether a 1 year of full time PGPX MBA ,could give a boost to my career ( considering , I can not afford to do an executive MBA along with my work)
Secondly if I give my GMAT in first week of November , Do I have options for applying for any Good business school for the session 2013?

Hello Vikashee,
I have gone through your qualification and work experience. You are doing a great job currently. You said that you do not want to go for an Executive MBA as you can not afford it with your work then for Full time MBA you have to take gap of one year from your work.
Yes,if you appear for November GMAT then you can go for session 2013 business schools.

Hi VIkashee,

Try to answer the following questions yourself

1) Why do you really need a MBA
2) Do you want to make your future career in India or outside India

US schools will be tough because they really dont like candidates with 8+ years of experience. Avg work ex at most top US schools in close to 5 years.

European schools will like your profile but given the economic scenario we would recommend that you do lot of research and apply to limited schools in Europe.

Indian programs like IIM exec programs and ISB will suit your profile but by Nov 2012 deadlines for all of them would have passed. So, you will have to apply in 2013 for 2014-15 batch.

Agree. You have plenty of work experience (11 years) which will not work in your favour as US B-schools are increasingly shifting towards younger applicants. You can target exec programs from IIMs in India.
