Hi,

Can you please help me in selecting b-schools. My details are mentioned below:

DOB: 01/07/1987
10th Percentage: 83.5%(UP board- 6th rank in state merit list)
12th Percentage: 82.8%(UP board- 20th rank in state merit list)

JEE-2004 All India Rank: 190
AIEEE-2004 All India Rank: 98
B.tech. CGPA: 7.1/10
Branch: Electrical engineering
College: IIT Kanpur

Total Work Experience: 27 month till date
Designation: Manager
Emplyer: Reliance Industries Limited

GMAT score:

Hello, Manoj,

Looking at your GPA which appears solid and your GMAT, I'd consider the schools you mention definite reaches. The GMAT would be a bit low for those schools generally, but especially for an Indian with an engineering background, as this is an overrepresented applicant pool that also tends to have high numbers.

There may be other factors that make you more competitive - for example your work experience. From "manager" I can't tell how fast your career trajectory has been or how substantial your impact. If both are relatively high compared to peers, that would make you more competitive. So would compelling goals and/or strong extracurriculars.

I'd consider the two schools possibe reasonable reaches depending on these other factors.
