Hello,
What a priceless resources here. !

I have been reading on various college website, the need of at least 2 letters of recommendation. I have not been working for last one year. I plan to join 2010 class of MBA. Studying for GMAT nowadays. I have n plans to work till 2010.
My question is by the time I get ready to apply, I wont have an immediate supervisor. Do you think I ask the seniors at my previous company to give me letters now and then I can scan and submit them online when the time comes for my application?
Or do they have to be sent directly from the recommender to the university? If so, how will I achieve this 2 years down the lane. My last employer has a very international workfroce. Managers get transferred and change jobs all the time. I am not sure if any of them will be around when the time comes for me to ask them for a recommendation.
Very confused and concerned about this.

Hi Amber,

If you are not currently employed you should use your most recent immediate supervisor when it is time to apply. It's fine if your last supervisor is no longer with the company, it's just important to have a recent boss comment on your work. Yes, your recommenders need to submit directly to schools in the online application, it's best to wait until you are ready to apply to have the letters prepared.
