Hello stacy,

I took my GMAT twice (580 and 600). My Verbal improved from 21 to 25. (This probably encourages me to try further)

I am an IT professional from India. i have good academic scores. I am aiming for top 30 schools.

Question:

It is obvious that i would miss the second round deadlines. Will applying for third round really worthful ? (Is it as good as applying in first or second round) And how about chances to apply for Spring 2009 ?

Dear Mani,

Applying in the third round is probably not a good idea with your profile; there are few seats left and you will have a hard time distinguishing your application from the rest of the pool. You would be better served to wait and apply in the first round for the next entry date (either spring 2010 or fall 2010). Also, to be competitive for the top 30, you will need to increase your GMAT score at least 50 points. There will be many other applicants to these schools from India with similar backgrounds but higher GMAT scores (>680).
