Hello

I will soon be applying to start an MBA in Sep 2011. I am a 28 year old British national currently working in corporate finance/IB in the Middle East. Post MBA, I would like to either move into corporate strategy at a multinational or consulting.

I would like to apply to both European and US schools. Although I would prefer to go to the US, my major concern is employment. I understand that the job market is pretty bad now and that hopefully by 2012 (internship) and 2013 (FT) it should be better. However, I would appreciate it if somebody could shed some light on this issue? How difficult will it really be - particularly with new immigration policies? Anybody facing similar issues?

Many thanks

Hey there,

I am in a similar situation as you. you might want to check the requirements for folks who come to the US on student visa, though securing an internship will not be a big deal for a full time candidate, securing a job might be, I have heard it takes anywhere between 0-3 months for students at top schools to be employed. However, the student visa is so designed such that you are legally allowed to stay in the US for only 30 days after graduation (is this correct? someone please clairfy)

So I am saying that you might get some answers talking to the International student board
