Will freelance writing be counted as experience during MBA admissions?
For instance, a person not getting any job in recession time decides to utilise his/her writing skills for freelance assignments.
How does the admission committee of any good business school look at such experience? Do they perceive it as an additional skill of the candidate or they do not count it as experience at all?

They will look at it in context of the rest of your application. If you have more directly MBA related work, then they will simply see this as initiative on your part and evidence of your writing ability. It will also depend on the kind of writing you did: did you have impact? Was it business-related?

Finally they will probably want to see some evidence of quant and analytical ability.

Best,
