EMBA from Ross business school

by seephani1 » Wed Aug 19, 2009 6:43 pm
Just now got the mail that I got admitted into Ross business school EMBA. Now I started to think whats the ROI on the $125000.

My brief profile:

10 years consuting experiences in top technology company various roles from developer to architect to solution consultant
Current role is Managing consultant managing teams of 6-10 people.

Any tips as how valuable EMBA from Ross is.

Thanks

Dear seephani1,

Congratulations on your admission to Ross! It is a great program with top-notch faculty and resources. How you will measure your ROI depends on how you define what the return is. I think it is more than an increase in salary at some pre-defined point in the future. While an increase in salary is part of the equation for most people, that is not the only value you receive from business school. Think about why you want to go to business school: how does it make sense for you professionally and personally? what do you expect to gain from the program as a student and as an alumnus? Once you can define your expected return, then you might have a chance to determine if that is something you can expect from the Ross program.

Good luck,
Lisa
