So on several of the applications I have started, the prompt for undergraduate transcripts simply asks me to upload a scanned copy of my transcript in pdf format.

Is that all there is to it? It certainly appears that way. Should there not be some sort of prompt to have my undergrad university forward this transcript directly to the MBA program I am applying to, in some sort of official manner?
