The smallest value of x^n where x>1 and n>0 is 1.
The smallest value of 4^n is 1 when n is 0.
So M = 2 + some value >1 + some value >1
So, M > 4
Answer is E.
Range = Biggest number - Smallest number
Range = 112 - 45 = 67
After selling 20 shares of X, number of shares of X = 56 - 20 = 36
After buying 24 shares of Y, number of shares of Y = 94 + 24 = 118
New range = 118 - 36 = 82
Increase = 82 - 67 = 15
