Say, x=10 and y=4 , Which astisfies all the criteria in the question gives the prime number as 5, We can easily see that
none of 1 or 2 or 3 are satisfied in this example
So nothing must be true.

So, A is the answer

Answer is none.

1. x = y => 2x/y = 2 which is equal to 2. Does not satisfy
2. y = 1 => 2x/y = 2x which cant be prime greater than 2. Does not satisfy
3. x and y are prime => 2x/y = 2 * real number which cant be prime greater 2.

With this question, I saw it but its missing a line. The line is "X and Y are held as constants." Does this affect the answer. I got this one wrong and I dont know why. The answer was still A

It says only that X and Y represent a constant value rather than a variable one. I dont quite get what they mean by this

Still I dont think it will affect the answer, Jeff

I also dont understand why constant values have to represented by variables. However, for all values of xy it holds good.

Given:
y != 3 , 2x/y={3,5,7,11....}=Val Set

1.x=y ;
then 2x/y = 2 not in = Val Set : Not True

2. y=1; then 2x/y = 2x ,where x =(-n,-1/n,0,1/n,n} not in =Val set = Not True

3.x and y are prime: then 2x/y are co-prime
2x/y=Not an Interger : Not True.

Ans:A=None
