Profile Evaluation for 2012

Hello,

Looking to gauge my realistic chances at the following schools, applying in R1:

1) Georgetown Full Time
2) George Washington Full Time
3) American Full Time
4) Vanderbilt Full Time
5) Georgetown Part Time
6) Cornell Full Time

Graduated UC Berkeley with a degree in Mass Communications, GPA of 3.5
Worked for Nielsen Mobile-Production Associate (07-08)
LookSmart (Account Coordinator then Promoted to Account Manager of Western Region) (08-09)
Pandora Radio (Account Manager-East Coast Team) (09-Present)

GMAT: 610 (re took a second time, and this was my score)
Marketing Chair-Northern Ca Chapter of 85 Broads; I help to promote and market all our events, geared towards professional women in all industries.
Other stats: 25 year old Chinese-Fijian descent, female
Other hobbies/orgs: Team lead for Futures group at Pandora (group that goes to local Oakland school to teach music), Speaker Series Chair for Women in Business at Pandora. Strategic advisor in marketing to Cal Alumni Association.

Looking to concentrate in marketing, with a potential focus on global business.Not applying to any west coast schools to get outside my comfort zone and expand my current network (lived/worked in bay area my whole life).

Hi,

Thanks for your post. I believe you and I have had a couple of phone conversations about your interest in applying to bschool. It's good to see this is still a goal of yours.

While you certainly can be competitive at the schools on your list, I do think you will need to demonstrate your ability for academic success. Given your GMAT score is a bit on the lower side the adcom may question your quantitative skills. You'll want to highlight areas in your application that can demonstrate your academic (and in particular your quantitative) abilities. You may even consider enrolling in a course or two (such as econ or statistics) to help boost this area of your profile.
