Greatly influenced by the Protested missionary Samuel Kirkland, the Oneida was the only one of the five-nation Iroquois League who sided with the colonists during the American Revolution.

Correct option is C. The Oneida is plural,hence usage of was is incorrect. e.g., The French were.
Usage of were would have been correct, but option D has this error"out of the five nations"
Also i feel had is not necessary here, plain sided will do.
