Line k passes through - origin and point (a,b). Product ab is not equal to zero.
Is b positive?

a. Slope of k is negative
b. a < b

Hi,
Line passes through origin. so equation is of the form y=mx
It passes through (a,b). So, b=ma
So, m(slope) = b/a
From(1):
b/a < 0
So, b and a are of opposite sign. So, one of a,b is negative
Not sufficient
From(2):
a < b
Not sufficient
Both(1) and (2):
b/a is negative. So, one of a,b is negative.
a<b. So, a has to be negative and b has to be positive
Sufficient

Hence, C
