Because they are both continued fractions that are not periodic. You might not know what I am talking about but you should know something...

In GMAT you will never ever be tested with the actual number of Pi and as long as you know that SR2 is around 2.14, you are good.

Small addition:

pie can be expressed in fraction. it is 22/7.
Once I saw Q with such expression. It was a paper test with unknown source.
