c - "it" refers to "his biophysics grade", again this is illogical and incorrect
d - incorrect use of "as of"
e - incorrect use of "as high as", since after this expression there should be a noun phrase and not a clause
a - parallelism mistake in the last clause - grammatically and logically incorrect

The correct answer is b
