Hello,
I have decided to apply to NYU's Langone program rather than full time programs. I already missed the September deadline for the spring applications, but they have rolling admissions through December. Does anyone know how a late application is perceived by the admissions office? Is it an immediate strike against your application? Do they expect you to explain why you didn't meet the deadline in the optional essays? My only answer to that question would be that I was on the fence about FT vs. PT which I'd rather not disclose since it may be perceived as a lack of commitment to the PT program.
I would really prefer to begin as soon as possible since the part time program will take longer to complete. However, I want to be careful that I don't get declined simply because of the timing of my application. I had been preparing to apply to top 10 full time programs and I would expect my application to be very competitive at Langone had I not missed the deadline.
Thanks
