Could any one can tell me, when we should use relative pronouns such as who, which and when we should us -ing form of a verb.
For ex: (A): The Yankees, never liking to lose, practice every day ( wrong )
(B): The Yankees, Who never like to lose practice everyday ( right )
Why A is wrong.
It think it is okie to reduce "who never like" to " liking.
Another example:
The Glass House Mountains in Queensland, Australia, were sighted in 1770 by the English navigator Captain James Cook, by whom they were named supposedly because its sheer we rocks glistened like glass.
A, naming them supposedly since their
B, Who so named them supposedly because their
Why A is wrong.
