IS it 36.
According to me
it takes .40 gallon of gas to drive 10 miles
and 1.25 gallon to gas to drive 50 miles
in all 1.65 gallon of gas to drive 60 miles
then 60/1.65 = 36.36

IMO
D: 36
We just cannot take the average. Need to find out how much gasoline spent for total journey and divide the total distance by total gasoline spent.
Total journey is 60miles
Total gasoline = 10/25 + 50/40 = 1.65 gallon.
Divide 60 by 1.65 and thus
D: 36
is the nearest answer.
