Problem 1:
In the figure (file attached), P and Q are on the circle with center O. What is the value of S? (Note(0,0) of X-Y plane is at center of circle)
a. 0.5
b. 1.0
c. sqrt(2)
d. sqrt(3)
e. sqrt(2)/2

OA: b

Problem 2:
On the number line, the distance between X and Y is greater than the distance betrween X and Z. Does Z lie between X and Y on the number line?

1. XYZ < 0
2. XY < 0

OA: E

Thanks!!!!

Problem 1:

The two line segments are perpendicular and m=gradient, so: m1 = -1/m2

m1 = y2-y1/x2-x1 => 1-0/-sqrt(3) => -1/sqrt(3)

m2 = sqrt(3)/1

as m = y2-y1/x2-x1 s=1 and t=sqrt(3)
