Circle/Triangle Question from gmat prep

by awilhelm » Tue Jan 20, 2009 2:54 pm
Which of the following lists the number of points at which a circle can intersect a triangle?

a) 2 & 6 only
b) 2, 4 & 6 only
c) 1, 2, 3 & 6 only
d) 1, 2, 3, 4 & 6
e) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6

OA is e, but I can't seem to draw a circle that intersects a triangle at 5 points unless the circle is more like an ellipse. Any help?
