Tricky MGMAT DS Qn - Experts please help

If S is a finite set of consecutive even numbers, is the median of S an odd number?

(1) The mean of set S is an even number.

(2) The range of set S is divisible by 4.

Very tricky DS can someone help explain in detail the approach adopted.

IMO:D

(1) The mean of set S is an even number
consider the elements to be 2,4,6,8,10,12 = mean-> 7. Odd for all cases
(2)The range of set S is divisible by 4
consider the elements to be 2,4,6 (range is 6-2=4, divisible by 4)
mean-> 4 and will be even for all the cases.
