Hi. Kindly focus on providing the method for your answer rather than just a boring 'IMO X' , also, do explain how this is the shortest method for you.


Length : 20 in
Breadth : 8 in
Height : 2 in

Above are the dimensions of a rectangular box that is to be completely wrapped with paper. If a single sheet of paper is to be used without patching, then the dimensions of the paper could be
(A) 17 in by 25 in
(B) 21 in by 24 in
(C) 24 in by 12 in
(D) 24 in by 14 in
(E) 26 in by 14 in

Hey axat
Calculate the Total surface area of the box = 2 (L*B+B*H+H*L)=432 sq inch

Now if you look closely, only one option gives you area, which is more than this value. B.
