A pet store normally has a flat charge of $0.75 per can of cat food. How much will a six-pack of cat food cost if the six-pack is discounted from the regular price?

(1) The cost of 6 cans at the six-pack special is $3.30.

(2) When purchased at the reduced price, each can of cat food is $0.20 less than when bought at the individual price.

Resilience is a trait that manifests in an individual when he/she faces consistent failures motivating them to succeed in the end.

Target question: How much will a six-pack of cat food cost when discounted?

Given: Normal price is $0.75 per can.

Statement 1: The cost of 6 cans at the six-pack special is $3.30.
Wow, the answer to the target question is handed to us.
The discounted price of a six-pack is $3.30
Since we can answer the target question with certainty, statement 1 is SUFFICIENT

Statement 2: When purchased at the reduced price, each can of cat food is $0.20 less than when bought at the individual price.
So, the discounted price is $0.55 per can (since $0.75 - $0.20 = $0.55)
This means that the discounted price of a 6-pack is $3.30 (since 6 x $0.55 = $3.30)
Since we can answer the target question with certainty, statement 2 is SUFFICIENT

Answer = D
