What's the source? I keep getting 1. I'm converting the units. 22 yards equals .0125 miles. Convert 45 miles per hour to 45/3600 miles per second. Set up the distance rate and time formula and I get 1. Where I am going wrong?

1 Mile = 1760 yard [ I think if this question is asked, we will also get this information]

45 miles per hour = 45*1760 yards per hour = 45*1760/3600 = 176/8 = 22 yards/ sec

Apparently to travel 22 yards it will take 1 second

22 yard = 0.012 5 mile
so time = (0.0125/45)x3600= 1sec

Imane will \you check your options from the source...I think ans is 1sec.

it doesn't seem logical that it would take a car at the speed of 45 mph 8 seconds to go 22 yards. football players make better time then that.

This question comes from the GMAT prep exam pack 2. She did not copy the question correctly, in the official question we have to find the time in seconds for 220 yards NOT 22. Hence answer 10 would be correct.
