Is |x| <1?

1) x/|x|< x
2) x<|x|

What is asked?
Is -1<x<1?

Statement 1:
x/|x| < x
If x is positive, means x/x < x or x>1
If x is negative, means -x/x < x or x>-1 or 0>x>-1
So, NOT SUFFICIENT

Statement 2:
x<|x| means x<0, as if x is positive x=|x|.
So, x<0
So, NOT SUFFICIENT

Combine: we get 0>x>-1
So, what is asked becomes true.
CAN ANSWER USING BOTH STATEMENTS TOGETHER
