1)But that is ugly...
2)to determine whether is correct

In option C, we are starting with 'that'.. "oh no"...

IMO A > B [ super guess]
First take: 640 (50M, 27V) - RC needs 300% improvement
Second take: coming soon..

Hey AIM,

I'm talking about the GMAT paper tests (when was on paper), i think at this stage when we covered a lot of material, its a gud thing to practice from paper test, not for judging score but getting more familiar with the real GMAT QUESTIONS...in sum u can use them as one more question bank containing real GMAT questions...This is just my opinion...

In A, D and E, determine that does not convey the intended meaning of the sentence. Since the purpose of the research is to answer a question -- which procedure is better? -- the sentence needs to say determine whether. Eliminate A, D and E.

In B, whether or not is an error of redundancy. Eliminate B.

The correct answer is C.

Researchers agree that A but that B.

WIth that, A and B can be eliminated.

When left with C,D,E, to attack:
1) preceded by is the correct idiom, giving you C and E
2) was needed to determine > was needed for determining on GMAT

verb + infinitive is preferred.

Hence, C.

Please confirm with me if you feel this method is applicable. Thanks
