Objectively, which has the better MBA program: Texas or UNC?

I am looking to go into operations consulting. I am also exploring brand management or operations within a consumer goods company. I'm from the west coast and would ideally like to end up back there within 3-5 years of graduating. Which school would provide the best opportunities to make this career move?

Within Operations and Marketing, I would say UT Austin. UT Austin also has a specific Brand and Product Management concentration. As far as opportunities to make the transition back to the west coast neither school has a very strong base there. So you most likely will need to depend upon your ability to transition within your immediate post-MBA employment or your networking skills.
