Online MBA's

I'm looking for online MBA's. Any suggestions? Are schools like Kalpan and Phoniex any good. I work full time and would like the flexible that online courses would provide... any insight would be wonderful

The U.S. News and World Report offers online MBA rankings based on four different categories: Faculty Credentials and Training, Student Services and Technology, Student Engagement and Accreditation, and Admissions Selectivity.

My personal advice would probably be to look at the schools with the best reputations overall, but be aware that online programs are challenging not only because of the coursework but because of the limited interaction between you and your classmates (pay attention to how closely you are expected to work with other students, who may not be extremely communicative).

There are a lot of very reputable schools that offer online and distance learning programs. As long as a student is able to show that they can work hard and will be able to handle the business world, I believe that anyone can be successful. I've actually created a site that is meant to help potential students find the best online MBA program for them. Check it out if you get the chance.

The quality of online degree program is trending higher as an article posted on Bloomberg. The first and most important thing business professionals must keep in mind when considering an online MBA is the improving image of the degree.
One of the biggest things an online MBA can do for students is allow them the freedom to earn their degree on their own time, at their own pace. CBSNews.com noted that the average online-only MBA program costs students $20,500 compared to upward of $135,000 from many institutions on-campus or from their online departments.

Hello, I would say that you should be doing more homework on your MBA programs and that (for the most part) you get what you pay for. The school's reputation is extremely important if you are going to be completing your degree online and you need to ensure the school is AACSB accredited. Also, to the person stating that you can get an online MBA for $20,500 I would caution you to really look into that program. The quality schools that offer an online format are usually ~$50k+ with a few (Duke's Cross Continent MBA, for example) going over $100k.
