1 - b

There should be a plural reference for baskets.. hence A and D are ruled out..

left with B,C, and E. E brings a exception .. C sounds too wordy .. therfore left with B

2 - D

from parallelism, D is the right choice
"Native of" is used for a individual while "Native to" is used for a large group

1 - A
2 - D

I just have the answer keys, I do not have the detailed explanations. So any differences in the answers will have to be discussed out on the forum

Problem #1 - A.

For Problem #2, choice E changes the meaning of the original sentence from "able" to "will". Try to key in on that and you will be able to knock some answer choices off. Also "will shorten hospital stays, reducing the frequency of surgery" does not follow logically. Perhaps if it was worded in reverse order. Answer is D.
