Parallelism

Hi,

I don't understand the parallelism here in OA. I can see B making sense of "then" isn't there but with then there, B sounds awkward.

yup B is correct because in the initial part of the sentence it uses of using its political clout and in the latter part of the sentence it uses then of using ..........hence parallelism
