"all" vs. "each"

is there are rule one must know regarding the use of "all" or "each"? or are these two words exchangeable?

"All" is plural and "each" is singular, so they are not interchangeable. There is also a very small change in meaning -- you are emphasizing the individual members of a set with "each."
