The University of California, Berkeley, which is a public research university in Berkeley, California, has a business school called the Walter A. Haas School of Business, which is also called Berkeley Haas. It is ranked as one of the best business schools in the world and was the first business school at a public university in the United States.

The school, which is named after Walter A. Haas, is made up of four buildings that surround a central courtyard on the southeast corner of the Berkeley campus. Both undergraduate and graduate students take classes there, and its resident startup incubator, Berkeley SkyDeck, is in Downtown Berkeley to the west. Among the faculty are Nobel laureates in economics, former chairs of the Federal Reserve and the Council of Economic Advisors, the Secretary of the Treasury, the chief economist of Google, and more.
