At a company fish fry, 1/2 in attendance are employees. Employees' spouses are 1/3 of the attendance. What is the percentage of the people in attendance who are not employees or employee spouses?
A. 10.5%
B. 16.7%
C. 25%
D. 32.3%
E. 38%

Employees attending = 1/2
Spouses attending = 1/3
Total for now: 1/2 + 1/3 = 5/6.

This leaves 1 - 5/6 = 1/6 for the rest. 1/6 = 0.1(6), which can be approximated to 0.167. Multiply by 100 to get the percentage 16,7%.
