I always advice to candidates to add extra curricular activities to their admission profiles. These activities are required to make your profile unique, stand-out from the crowd, inspire the admission council towards your interests and passion.
Hobbies and extracurricular activities should assert the fact that you are an excellent candidate for the prospective business school. Interestingly, for making a better case for your admission, your extracurricular activity should depend on the community service that you have done.

Yes, well it may be types of community services like short of community services, enough community services and etc.
When you are short of community service, your focus should be to include activities that would indirectly show your commitment towards the community. For example, being part of a soccer tournament would have little impact on a community at a direct level, but if you were able to include events, where you played for a charity, the whole picture would change. Quantify the money that the tournament was able to raise for the charity.

In case of enough community service, the extra-curricular activity should be something that would show that you are a well-qualified candidate, aspects that might highlight your teamwork, communication, leadership or ability to adapt to a different culture. Being part of debates, quiz competitions and student-exchange programs are some of the activities that fit this category.

One more type is there which is excellent community service. When you have an excellent community service experience, the extra curricular activities would add an additional dimension to your personality. In this case, you do not have to be conscious about the critical success factors

These activities will make you MBA admission process flexible.
