by slauknight » Wed May 12, 2010 11:32 am
Can you please review my study guides list and schedule, and let me know what you think? Also, do you think I'll have sufficient time to study for the GMAT and complete 4 applications by early October round 1 deadlines? Thanks!

Hi

I would suggest to take the GMAT and then concentrate on Apps as with a score in hand you know the target schools and would be more comfortable to apply. I shall start prep'ing for GMAT from 14th May and take the GMAT on 14th Aug, studying 2 hours daily with 5-6 hours on sat/sun. I aim to complete a subset of the comprehensive list you have.

1 Official Guide for GMAT Review, 11th Edition
2 Official Guide for GMAT Review, 12th Edition (Yellow)
3 Official Guide for GMAT Verbal Review, 2nd Edition(Purple)
4 Official Guide for GMAT Quantitative Review, 2nd Edition (Yellow)
5 Kaplan GMAT Verbal Book
6 Manhattan Number Properties Guide
7 Manhattan Equations, Inequalities, & VICs Guide
8 Manhattan Sentence Correction Guide
9 PowerScore Citical Reasoning Bible

1st week: Revise sections of OG11
2nd week: GMAT prep #1, revise and analyze the weak sections and devise a plan
3-5 weeks: Attack the weak sections with the above material ( 5-9 above)
6th week: Take MGMAT test 1,2 analyze the results and revise the weak sections
7th week: Take MGMAT tests 3,4 analyze results and revise weak sections.
8th week: Take MGMAT test 5,6 analyze the results and revise the weak sections
9-11 weeks: Revise OG12/Quant/Verbal official guides (2-4 above)
