Guess what? My final score was the worst of all the tests which I had given before the D day. I have no clue of what happened.

I do not blame anyone but me. I am really disappointed.

Mistake committed -
--Took too many tests in the last 10 days of the test.
1 Kaplan, 2 Princeton Review, 1 Free Veritas(got a surprising 52 in Maths but it does not matter now), 1 Free MGMAT, 1 free PR, both the tests in Powerprep and GMATPrep.
--Started panicking during the last 5 minutes.
--Overconfidence
--Most mistakes committed in DS (inequality, number properties)
--In Verbal, questions related to Inferences/Assumptions(be it RC or CR)

Guess, I just did not study hard enough.

I need to improve my score in Verbal to achieve my target (you can see 750 written in my target score, let them laugh because I just dont care) and I do believe I can do it. I have gone through OG 11, Kaplan 800 and MGMAT SC. What would you guys suggest?

Good luck for your improvement, I do not have the capacity to tell you what to do...
"Overconfidence" can you explain.
People generally say confidence is paramount, that you need to trust in your abilities, why did your confidence be a drawback?

The highest which I got in Verbal was 38 in Powerprep and GMATPrep. When I analysed them, I saw a trend in my score, that I did really bad in questions related to inferences/assumptions. I would mark something which is not at all given in the Comprehension.

I was confident that I would overcome this issue in the real test. This is where overconfidence stepped in. I did not test it any of my practice test except on the d-day. May be I am not able to express myself clearly. Its just been a couple of hours that I really got busted.

Many of us in this forum aim for a 800 and fall short by a couple of hundred points - this essentially helps us prepare for the next jump. Unless we aim how do we know how far we fell from the mark.

Get rid of the "negativity" inside you - am sure you'll do well next time. Good luck.

Thanks Sumith, Really appreciate it.

I guess you can understand what state of mind o must be in when i wrote it.

I am still 180 behind my target score :D and I know I can get to that!!!
