What is the value of x^5 ?
(1) x^2 = 9
(2) x^3 > 9
A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.
B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.
C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.
D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.
E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.
ok so i picked e but the answer is c. i dont see how but once again, pls explain
stat 1) x = + or - 3 insuff
stat 2) x is either > 2 or < -2 insuff
together, x can be + or - 3 then . hwo do i we get one concrete answer??
