Computers are becoming faster, more powerful, and more reliable, and so too are modems, they are the devices to allow two or more computers to share information over regular telephone lines.

(A) so too are modems, they are the devices to allow
(B) so too are modems, the devices that allow
(C) so too modems, the devices allowing
(D) also modems, they are the devices that allow
(E) also modems, which are the devices to allow

A - antecedant to they is not clear.
C - ing is unnecessary.
D n E - also modems is awkward.

hence IMO B.

sam here ...B is my answer too

so too is more apt so eliminate D and E

C is not correct devices allowing ....incorrect

Ahey again can refere to computers or modems

Answer b ...that specifies it modem that allows exchange....

As per my understanding , "So" and "And" can be used as a conjunctions. But can we use BOTH in the same sentence as it is used in the Option B.

Please share your thooughts!
