I have been awarded time and a half (112 min. per section) due to a disability. While quite thankful for this, it makes preparing a bit more difficult due to the timing of regular CAT practice tests.

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure but i believe you can customize timmings on Manhattan GMAT's CAT tests!!! just giving you some idea on where to look around!!!

yup, you can customize the MGMATs time to whatever you like per section.

How did you go about obtaining clearance for the extra time? A friend of mine was diagnosed with a learning disability so he was awarded extra time on tests back when we were in college. He is also studying for the GMAT at the moment, but he wasn't sure who to contact about his condition. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

gabriel16: if i remember correctly when you register for the test date there is a section that asks if you need any special "needs" and such, i think thats where you would get your information.

etan: since you are awarded with extra time, i wouldn't count on using it. I would still go about trying to finish the exam in 75 mins so in case a question does "stomp" you, you have that buffer to burn.

as for MGMAT, the practice CATs allow you to customize the time. I cannot comment on the other available practice tests out there since MGMAT and GMATprep are the only ones i've used.

Thanks much for your replies. I'm going to get some MGMAT materials to practice with. Also, if anyone else is in the same situation, you can download the old POWERPREP materials. These have a function that allows you to change the timing.

go to file: timing accomodations and you can change CAT timing.
