Double Citizenship

by ClaudioChileno » Wed May 20, 2009 12:36 am
Hello,
I am looking to Apply to London Business School, Columbia and Chicago Booth. I have dual citizenship Korean and Chilean. Which nationality should I choose in order to make my application more competitive?
Thanks

Hola, Claudio--

Good question but I think I would put your dual citizenship (esp. Chile and Korea --not a typical combination!).

One of the things that MBA programs like is to send their alumni all over the world. Given that you have Korean / Chilean citizenship you have some very interesting post-MBA work options that make you very appealing as a candidate and future alum.

So...I say put them both; and, if you have space, mention how you came to have dual citizenship in the 'Is there anything else that you would like to mention?' section of the essay portion of your application.

Suerte! and let me know if you have other thoughts / questions--
