IMO its E

A the artform is not formed of material - incorrect

B same as A and "such as" is preferable than "like"

C "such as" is preferable than "like"

D looks awkward

E correct

Such is not preferable but actually it is the CORRECT way of introducing examples.

I also observed that IN THAT always beats BECAUSE in Sentence Correction.

Use because when there is causal relationship!

use in that when to qualify the preceding sentence..

eg

i am better than him in that i lift more weights.

i lift more weights qualifies my preceding statement...

in that is always pref red over because in GMAT(Sahil's)
1. in A - such asknickknacks and cast-offs not usually employed by fine artists. - looks like 2 expamples are 1.knicknacks and castof.......till the end

inb & c - like is worng
D -akward const

E.-correct
