Hello Sir/Mam,

I aspire to study in Richard Ivey. I have a slight doubt regarding the transcripts which are to be sent to Ivey. The website states that the Undergraduate University should send the transcripts directly to Ivey. But in my university, we got the marksheets after every semester. So here lies my doubt, do I have to go to the university and request them to send the transcripts to Ivey (this would take a hell lot of time and still no surity that the university will acknowledge my request) or can I send the copies of the marksheet which I have and present the originals in case I am selected and attending the Ivey program. Please help as my decision is dependent on the answer to this question.

You can scan and send your transcipts directly to them. You do not need to contact your Uni. I have applied to Ivy and they accepted scan copies. Hope to see you in class next year :-)

but from transacript u mean "marksheets" or something different as somebody told me that transcripts and marksheets are different things.

I guess an academic transcript can also be called a marksheet. It bascially has all your grades from college and details of the courses that you took.

Hello,

I suggest following Ivey's instructions to the best of your ability -- i.e., start the process of having your undergrad school send the official transcripts. Recognizing that this may be difficult or take a long time, you might scan or copy your marksheets and include with the application -- and explain in a short optional essay that you are in the process of having the school send the originals but that it will take a long time. You can also provide your school's registrar contact information to further underscore your credible efforts to obtain the official transcript. One last thing -- you can call the Ivey adcom, briefly explain the situation, and ask whether the approach I've suggested would be satisfactory, just for further reassurance. I imagine that they're accustomed to such issues.
