Winnehatchee

1. Ann: All the campers at Camp Winnehatchee go to Tri-Cities High School
Bill: That"Ÿs not true. Some Tri-Cities students are campers at Camp Lakemont.

Bill"Ÿs answer can be best explained on the assumption that he has interpreted Ann"Ÿs remark to mean that

(A) most of the campers at Camp Lakemont come from high schools other than Tri-Cities
(B) most Tri-Cities High School students are campers at Camp Winnehatchee
(C) some Tri-Cities High School students have withdrawn from Camp Lakemont
(D) all Tri-Cities High School students have withdrawn from Camp Lakemont
(E) only campers at Camp Winnehatchee are students at Tri-Cities High School

OA: E

The answer is E.

In disagreeing Bill points out that some Tri-Cities students go to another camp. That does not directly contradict the fact that all Winnehatchee students are from Tri-Cities unless Tri-Cities students can't go to any other camp. Therefore his assumption is E.

This is a weird question. What is the source? Isn't E the same as what Ann is saying? I don't really agree with the way E is worded. Wouldn't E be more appropriate if it said "Only Tri-Cities High School students are campers at Camp Winnehatchee"? To me, this still sounds the same.

"only campers at Winnehatchee are students at Tri-Cities" would mean campers from Lakemont couldn't be students at Tri-Cities. That is what Bill is assuming he is disproving with his challenge.

Thank you Tani, out of the 5 this choice was the one I was leaning on, but it still looked the same to me.
