How to get that 780 on the GMAT?

you can master the material and still fail to score 780 on the GMAT. everyone has bad days and your score on any day will likely be within ~30 points of your true score. so, if you're true score is 750, then it isnt an extreme outlier for you to score 780 on any given day.

personally, i think the difference between 700 and 730 (for a well balanced test taker... e.g., 40+ in each section) is strategy (i.e., timing). anything above that (740-800) is pretty equal in my mind, and if you sat each person (who scored 740-800) down on any given day, his/her score would fluctuate within that region.

If you want to score more than 99% of the takers than be prepared to slog out more than 99% of takers.
Obvious isn't it. Most of us are sloppy when it comes to giving the time and effort needed to get that rock star score. There is a huge GMAT universe of material and you need to choose and pick and train like an athelete.
